GPA formula is based on a 4-point system and all credits earned. The formula
is as follows.
O = 4 points
A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C = 2 points
D = 1 point
F = 0 points
- Add-on bonuses for
Honors Os, As, and Bs.
An Honors O is worth 1 bonus point divided by 30 = .0333
An Honors A is worth .5 bonus point divided by 30 = .0166
An Honors B is worth .25 bonus point divided by 30 = .0083
- Add-on bonuses for total credits over 20 credits earned (this will not be determined
until the end of the senior year.) A student must take at least one
honors course to qualify for the add-on. Figure total number of credits
earned and subtract 20. Divide the result by 40.
- Semester Courses: Each grading period is 37.5% for the final grade; exam is 25% of the
final grade. Year Courses: Each grading period is 18.75% of
the final grade; each exam is 12.5% of the final grade.
- The cumulative GPA is updated two times each school
year . At the end of the frist semester, the cumulative GPA is figured
on the course semester average.( and pervious year's final grades for
upper-classmen). At the end of the year , the cumulative GPA is figured
on all final grades
TERMINAL INCOMPLETES (TI)
All course equipments must be in writing
and given to the student at the beginning of the course. It is the teacher's
responsibility to make students aware that "TI's" exist and
to inform students of what items are considered major assignments or projects.
The teacher will use a "TI" in situations such as, but not limited
to the following: truant to semester/final exam, not completing a major
assignment or not completing major work during a nine week grading period.
If a student does not complete a major assignment within a nine-week grading
period, the student will earn an incomplete. The incomplete well be carried
to the end of the next grading period and become a "TI" unless
the student completes the major assignment before the end of that grading
